The National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) is a quasi-judicial apex body in India established in 1988 under the Consumer Protection Act of 1986, with the primary objective of providing speedy, inexpensive, and effective redressal of consumer disputes. It is currently governed by the updated Consumer Protection Act of 2019, which focuses on empowering consumers against unfair trade practices and defective goods or services.
